Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment and insert 6 AA batteries (not included) following polarity markings.
  2. Install Label Tape: Open the cassette cover and insert the TZe tape cassette with the tape feeding from the back.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the AC adapter to the DC jack or use batteries for portable operation.
  4. Initial Power On: Press the power button to turn on the device. The display should illuminate.
  5. Language Selection: Use the arrow keys to select your preferred language from the menu.
  6. Date/Time Setup: Set the current date and time for timestamp functions.
  7. Test Print: Create a test label to ensure proper installation and tape alignment.
Warning: Use only Brother TZe series label tapes. Using incompatible tapes may damage the printer mechanism.

Troubleshooting
