Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 6 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Load tape cassette: Open cassette cover, insert a Brother TZe tape cassette with the tape feeding towards the cutter.
  3. Connect to AC power (optional): Plug the AC adapter into the port and then into a wall outlet.
  4. Power on: Press the POWER key.

WARNING! Use only specified Brother TZe tape cassettes. Incorrect tape may cause jams.

First-Time Setup

Power on the label maker; the LCD will illuminate.

  1. Set language: Press FUNCTION, then use arrow keys to select LANGUAGE, choose ENGLISH (default).
  2. Set auto power off: Press FUNCTION, select SETUP, choose AUTO POWER OFF time (e.g., 5 min).
  3. Set tape width: The machine automatically detects the installed tape width.
  4. Test print: Type a word and press PRINT to create your first label.

Creating Labels

Supports text labels with various fonts, sizes, and decorative elements.

  1. Enter text: Use the keyboard to type your label text.
  2. Format text: Press FUNCTION, select FONT, SIZE, or STYLE to modify appearance.
  3. Add frames/symbols: Press FUNCTION, select FRAME or SYMBOL.
  4. Preview: The LCD shows a preview of the label.
  5. Print: Press PRINT. The label will be printed and cut (if Auto Cutter is on).
  6. Manual cut: If Auto Cutter is off, press the Cutter button after printing.

WARNING! Do not pull the tape during printing. Allow the cutter to operate fully.

Advanced Functions

Sequential Numbering: Create a series of numbered labels. Mirror Printing: Print text in reverse (for application on glass or transparent tape). Memory Recall: Store and recall frequently used labels.

Care & Cleaning

Turn off and disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Clean the cutter blade carefully with a dry cotton swab if tape residue accumulates.

CAUTION! Never use liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaners. Do not insert objects into the tape slot.
