Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

  1. Insert Batteries/Connect Power: Open battery compartment on the back, insert 6 AA batteries (or connect the AC adapter to the DC IN jack and a wall outlet).
  2. Load Tape Cassette: Press the cassette cover release button to open. Insert a TZe tape cassette with the tape end facing the cutter side. Close the cover firmly until it clicks.
  3. Power On: Press the POWER button. The LCD will illuminate.

WARNING! Use only Brother TZe tape cassettes. Incorrect cassettes may jam the mechanism. Keep small parts away from children.

First-Time Operation

Power on the device and follow these steps to create your first label.

  1. Set Language/Units: Press the SETTINGS key. Use the arrow keys to select your language and measurement units (mm/inch), then press OK.
