Installation & Setup

  1. Charge the battery: Connect the AC adapter to the labeler and a power outlet. Charge fully before first use (approx. 3 hours).
  2. Load the tape cassette: Open the cassette cover, insert the tape cassette with the tape feeding from the bottom, and close the cover firmly.
  3. Power on: Press the POWER button. The LCD will illuminate.
  4. Set language and units: Use the SETTINGS menu to select your preferred language and measurement units (mm/inch).

WARNING! Use only Brother-approved AC adapters and TZe tape cassettes. Do not force the cassette cover.

Tape Loading & Replacement

How to change the tape cassette.

  1. Power off the labeler.
  2. Press the cassette cover release button and open the cover.
  3. Remove the existing cassette by lifting it out.
  4. Insert the new cassette, ensuring the tape feeds from the bottom and aligns with the guide marks.
  5. Close the cover firmly until it clicks.
  6. Power on. The labeler will automatically detect the tape width.

WARNING! Do not touch the print head. Use only genuine Brother TZe tapes. Ensure the cover is fully closed.

Maintenance & Care

Unplug adapter and remove battery for extended storage.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For print head, use a dry cotton swab gently.
  2. Battery Care: For longest life, fully discharge and recharge the battery every 6 months if not in regular use.
  3. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Remove tape cassette if storing for more than a month.
  4. Cutter Blade: Keep free of adhesive residue. Clean carefully with isopropyl alcohol on a swab if necessary.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, aerosols, or abrasive cleaners. Never immerse the labeler in water.
