Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 6 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Optional AC Adapter: Connect the adapter to the DC IN jack on the side of the unit.
  3. Power On: Press the POWER button. The LCD should illuminate.

Loading the Tape Cassette

Power off the unit before loading or changing tape.

  2. Insert Cassette: Place the tape cassette into the compartment with the tape feeding from the bottom.
  3. Thread Tape: Pull the tape end slightly and align it with the tape guide and cutter blade.
  4. Close Cover: Firmly close the cover until it clicks into place.
  5. Power On: Turn on the unit. The tape width should be detected automatically.

CAUTION! Do not force the cassette or cover. Ensure tape is properly aligned to prevent jams.
