Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, flat surface.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 6 AA batteries (optional for portable use).

  3. Load tape cassette: Open cassette cover, insert tape with window facing up, close cover.

WARNING! Use only Brother TZe tape cassettes. Do not force cassette into slot.

  2. Type text using keyboard; use SPACE, DELETE for editing.
  3. Press FONT to select font style (e.g., Block, Script).
  4. Press SIZE to adjust text size (Small to Extra Large).
  5. Press FRAME to add decorative border if desired.
  6. Preview text on LCD; adjust as needed.
  7. Press PRINT to print label; device will auto-cut.
  8. Peel backing from printed label and apply.

Tip: Use preview to check label length before printing.

Advanced Functions

Auto Numbering: Enter number followed by # symbol; each print increments number.

Symbols: Press SYMBOL to access library of symbols (arrows, warning signs, etc.).

Memory: Store up to 9 labels for quick recall. Save by pressing MEMORY after typing.

Text Effects: Underline (UNDERLINE key), vertical text (set in layout options).

Chain Printing: Print multiple copies of same label by entering quantity before printing.

Maintenance & Care

Unplug or remove batteries before cleaning. Use dry, soft cloth; do not use liquids.

  1. Clean exterior with dry cloth.
  2. Clean print head occasionally with cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol (power off).
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
