Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, stable, and level surface.

  1. Install the Tape Cassette: Open the cassette cover, insert a TZe tape with the printable side down, and close the cover firmly.
  2. Connect to Power: Plug the AC adapter into the port on the rear and connect it to a standard wall outlet.
  3. Power On: Press the POWER button. The LCD will illuminate.
  4. Initial Calibration: The printer will automatically feed a small amount of tape to calibrate itself.

WARNING! Use only the Brother AD-24ES AC adapter provided. Ensure the tape cassette is correctly installed to avoid jams.

First-Time Use

After powering on, follow these steps to create your first label.

  1. Set Language & Units: Press FUNCTION, then use the arrow keys to select "Settings" > "Language" or "Unit".
  2. Create a Label: Use the keyboard to type your text. It will appear on the LCD preview.
  3. Format Text: Use the FUNCTION key with font (F), size (S), style (B/I/U), and alignment keys to format.
  4. Print: Press the PRINT button. The label will be printed and automatically cut if Auto-Cut is enabled.

CAUTION! Do not touch the cutting blade. Keep fingers and objects away from the tape exit slot during printing.

  2. For Bluetooth: On the printer, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Visibility = ON. On your device, scan for Bluetooth devices and select "PTD610BT". Enter the PIN '0000' if prompted.

Tip: For the first Bluetooth pairing, ensure the printer is less than 3 feet (1 meter) from the device.

Printing Labels

Supports printing from the keyboard, P-touch Editor (PC/Mac), and mobile apps (Brother P-touch Design&Print).

  1. Standalone Printing: Type text, format using the FUNCTION key, press PRINT.
  2. PC/Mac Printing: Create and design labels in P-touch Editor, then send to the printer via USB or Bluetooth.
  3. Mobile Printing: Use the Brother app to design labels on your phone/tablet and print wirelessly.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the power adapter before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. To clean the print head, use a cotton swab lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray liquids directly on the printer. Do not attempt to lubricate any parts.
