Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a clean, stable, and flat surface.

  1. Insert Tape Cassette: Open the cassette cover, insert a compatible TZe tape, and close the cover firmly.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the AC adapter into the power port on the unit, then into a wall outlet.
  3. Connect to PC (Optional): Use the provided USB cable to connect the USB port to your computer.
  4. Power On: Press the Power button to turn on the P-touch.

WARNING! Use only the Brother AD-24ES or specified AC adapter. Ensure the tape cassette is correctly seated.

First-Time Setup

Power on the label maker; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Set Language/Region: Use the arrow keys to navigate to Settings > Language, and select your preference.
  2. Set Date/Time: Navigate to Settings > Date & Time to configure if needed for file stamps.

Creating and Printing Labels

Create labels directly on the device or via PC software.

  1. Enter Text: Use the keyboard to type your label text. Use Fn key to change font, size, etc.

  3. Preview: View the label on the color display before printing.
  4. Print: Press the Print button. The label will print and advance automatically.

WARNING! Do not pull the tape during printing or cutting. Allow the mechanism to complete its cycle.

Serial Numbering: Create labels with incrementing numbers. Memory: Store frequently used labels in internal memory. Database Merge: Import data from a CSV file (via PC software) to create multiple labels. Barcode Printing: Supports various 1D barcode formats. Mirror Printing: For creating labels to be viewed from the opposite side (e.g., inside glass).

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the unit before cleaning. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Tape Path: If tape jams occur, refer to the manual for safe clearing procedures. Print Head: Keep clean; use a dry cotton swab if necessary (unit powered off).
