Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on clean, flat surface.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 6 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Load tape cassette: Open cassette door, insert tape with window facing up, close door.
  3. Connect power adapter: Plug adapter into port and into AC outlet (optional).
  4. Power on: Slide power switch to ON position.

WARNING! Use only Brother TZ series tape cassettes. Do not force cassette or cutter lever.

First-Time Setup

Power on device; LCD will illuminate.

  1. Set language: Press FUNCTION + LANGUAGE to select language (default ENGLISH).
  2. Set tape width: Device auto-detects tape width from cassette.
  3. Test print: Type "TEST" and press PRINT to verify operation.

Creating Labels

  1. Enter text: Type desired label text using keyboard.
  2. Format text: Press FONT, SIZE, or STYLE keys to modify appearance.
  3. Add frame/symbol: Press FRAME or SYMBOL to insert decorative elements.
  4. Preview: Text appears on LCD as entered.
  5. Print: Press PRINT; device prints and advances tape automatically.
  6. Cut: Press cutter lever firmly to cut tape.
  7. Apply label: Peel backing and apply to clean, dry surface.

WARNING! Do not pull tape during printing. Allow cutter lever to return fully after cutting.

Advanced Functions

Auto Numbering: Create sequential labels. Mirror Printing: For inside-surface applications. Memory: Store frequently used labels (limited capacity).

Care & Maintenance

Power off and disconnect before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids.
