To Create a Label: 1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. 2. Use the keyboard to type your text. It will appear on the display. 3. To format, press the FONT key to cycle through fonts. Press SIZE to change character size. 4. To add a frame, press the FRAME key and select a style using the arrow keys. 5. Preview your label on the display. 6. Press the PRINT button. The label will print and advance automatically. 7. Use the CUTTER LEVER to cut the label from the tape.

To Delete Text: Use the BACKSPACE key. To clear the entire line, press and hold CLEAR.

Advanced Functions

  1. Auto Numbering: Type your text, then press NUM. Use the arrow keys to set the starting number, increment, and count. Press PRINT to print a sequence of numbered labels.
  2. Memory Storage: After creating a label, press MEMORY followed by a number key (1-5) to store it. Recall by pressing RECALL and the memory number.
  3. Multiple Copies: Before printing, press the number key (1-9) for the desired quantity, then press PRINT.
  4. Mirror Printing: Press MIRROR before printing to create reversed text (e.g., for window signs).
  5. Symbols: Press the SYMBOL key and browse categories using arrow keys. Press ENTER to insert.

Tape Cassette Replacement

How to install a new tape cassette.

  1. Ensure the unit is powered on.
  2. Press the release button to open the cassette compartment door.
  3. Remove the old cassette, if present.
  4. Insert the new cassette, aligning the tape end with the guides and ensuring it feeds toward the exit slot.
  5. Close the compartment door firmly until it clicks.
  6. The display will briefly show the tape width. You are ready to print.

Tip: Use only genuine Brother TZe tape cassettes for optimal performance and to avoid jamming.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use alcohol, thinner, or other chemical cleaners.

CAUTION! Never touch the print head inside the cassette compartment. Keep the unit away from dust, extreme temperatures, and moisture.
