Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 6 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Connect AC Adapter: Plug adapter into DC IN jack and into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  3. Install Label Tape: Open cassette cover, insert tape cassette firmly, close cover.
  4. Power On: Press the POWER button. The LCD should illuminate.

WARNING! Use only the specified AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

First-Time Use

Power on the unit; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Set Language: Press FUNCTION, then use arrow keys to select language (ENGLISH default).
